It all started on April 2nd<\/sup> when I took the plane and rediscovered the feeling of flying away from the routine after 2 years of daydreaming about a new adventure. I got to Kelowna and was welcomed at the International Hostel by friendly people that come from all over the planet, including El Salvador, Mexico, Netherlands, Turkey, and United Kingdom. They all have one thing in common: finding freedom. As you may guess, I have practiced my Spanish through the week and I\u2019m excited to have plenty of conversations in my third language.  During the week, I did a hike, explored the city, went running and had some parties! On April 5th<\/sup>, I had my first shift and did my 20 hours of work throughout the week by working 10am-3pm from Tuesday to Friday. The job consists of cleaning the hostel and taking care of the front desk tasks to make every guest feel satisfied. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As for the upcoming week, it will start by celebrating my birthday on Saturday and going to Knox Mountain with friends. Unexpected activities happen every day here, so I am looking forward to being spontaneous and deepening the sense of belonging with my host city. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
