What a week! My new roommate Victoria arrived and she\u2019s the sweetest! We decided to go to Edinburgh in Scotland together!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When we got off the train on Thursday, the first thing we did was visit Dean Village, a beautiful place filled with greenery. We walked along a cobblestone path next to a river until we came across a quaint cafe, where we treated ourselves to a tasty cup of coffee. Thankfully, the sun was out and shining brightly, making the colours of nature that much more vibrant. The scenery was gorgeous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On Friday, we strolled through West Meadow Park and ambled down a beautiful path lined with breathtaking cherry blossom trees to visit the famous Victoria Street. As we sauntered through it, we visited multiple shops. The cobbled road leading to a spectacular view of Edinburgh Castle made the whole street extremely picturesque. It was also an opportune moment to stop and buy and try haggis, the national dish of Scotland. Sadly (or happily) it didn\u2019t taste like much.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Finally, on Sunday, we toured Edinburgh Castle from the inside. We nearly spent three hours enjoying the castle, visiting exhibits, prisons and apartments. The castle was enormous but crowded. The wind was extremely harsh as the castle is elevated on a hill over the rest of Edinburgh and it was a chilly and cloudy day. I was a bit disappointed that we couldn\u2019t see what it used to look like before as nearly everything was changed to be used as museums. It was still interesting and stunning.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Right now, we are heading back to Manchester, and I will be starting my last week in England. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
