I was stunned by the beauty and the majesty of nature in the heart of the city. I met&nbsp;some&nbsp;awesome and open-minded people.&nbsp;I&#8217;m&nbsp;glad I get to share and learn from each person\u2019s experiences. In our free time, we played charades, we watched an Icelandic movie called \u201cWoman at War\u201d,&nbsp;we went on hikes,&nbsp;we cooked&nbsp;meals&nbsp;inspired by different cuisines&nbsp;and we admired the northern lights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:31px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"615\" height=\"452\" src=\"https:\/\/bloguelangues.cecm.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Aurora.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-8573\" srcset=\"https:\/\/bloguelangues.cecm.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Aurora.jpg 615w, https:\/\/bloguelangues.cecm.ca\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/04\/Aurora-300x220.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 615px) 100vw, 615px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:32px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The highlight of my week was&nbsp;undoubtedly the&nbsp;day we spent hiking the&nbsp;geothermal fields of&nbsp;Hverager\u00f0i. We also got to experience the hot spring thermal river of&nbsp;Reykjadalu&nbsp;while enjoying the view down onto the valley.
