At the Prince of Whales Northern Heritage Centre, I learned about the animals of the land and their connection with Indigenous communities. I also learned about the RCMP Special Constables,\u00a0who\u00a0were Indigenous\u00a0people helping the first immigrant constables to survive in the arctic climate, and about the colonial history in NWT. It was truly\u00a0magnificent! Those long and thick icicles were forming a wall closing the space between them and the rock cliff,\u00a0creating a small\u00a0hiding spot.\u00a0Along the trail, I stumbled on a\u00a0cemetery dating from the 1930s. I apologised\u00a0for intruding\u00a0and paid my respect.\u00a0The same day, I walked the Prospector Trail where I could have\u00a0encountered\u00a0a bear. Fortunately, I\u00a0didn\u2019t;\u00a0I only saw bald eagles in the sky.
