Entry #5: A Wet Closure…

English, Puerto Rico

This is the last time I will talk about my beautiful internship in Puerto Rico.  Already 5 complete weeks. A few years ago, I would have never thought about being in another country for longer than a week. I am eternally grateful for this unique opportunity. It’s crazy to think that this glorious place will only become great memories and pictures in only a few days!

The past week has been cloudy and stormy and limited my chance to visit San Juan or go to the beach. Often, I would be outside working on something, and it would be clear blue sky and suddenly a thunderstorm would spark and ruined the rest of the day. I have been woken up by thunder a couple of times haha.

It rained so much that we were under a flood warning and unfortunately many people had their homes under water. Thankfully, we were safe here and didn’t have to deal with too many consequences.

I have also been occupied with the work I do at The Rainforest Inn. I learned the full process of checking-in guests, so I have been doing that to help them around. It was difficult at first, but I pushed through and finally got better!

For my last week in Puerto Rico, I will go to Rainforest Ziplining and try to do the hike for a last time if the rain magically stops for a few days. Cross your fingers for me!

Thank you for reading!
