Hey! Remember the last blog when I said Puerto Rico was going to be sunny? Well, my friends… I was incorrect! There are sunny periods, don’t get me wrong, but the rain showers have been non-stop since I landed.
The airplane process was smoother than I thought it would be, which I am grateful for.

My tasks in the Inn include but are not limited to: Sweeping the floor to remove the leaves around the pool area, maintaining the dining area, and the porch, fixing a pipe, sealing a roof, and installing a doorknob! I didn’t expect to become a handy man during my trip!

I met Bill & Renee for the first time, and we started talking like we had known each other for months! I also met the other intern named Celestine who’s from Belgium, who’s kind and who doesn’t hesitate to help me around when she can because she’s been here for a month already. They also have a dog called Levi!

The daily life in the Rainforest Inn is calm and simple. Times flies rapidly here, though. I always wake up with a mouth-watering breakfast. The vegetarian diet is delightful, and I adapted well to it. Bill & Renee helped me discover The Hitching Post which is a fantastic restaurant near the Inn.

There is this hike we can do that apparently leads to a waterfall. I tried it, but it was extremely muddy and had to go back.

Next week, I plan on visiting Puerto Rico a little bit more and try the hike again if the rain ceases.
