Over the past three weeks, I’ve made so many wonderful friendships. Unfortunately, some had to end as it was time for them to return home. I am so grateful to everyone who helped me discover Malta in so many ways. While some friends have already left and others are still here for a while, I’ve enjoyed every moment spent with all of them.
For the last evening together, my French friends and I picked up some nibbles and drinks, then headed to the edge of San Gorg beach to relax, chat, and enjoy the moment. It was a simple but beautiful way to end our time together.
Towards the end of the week, I decided to go sunbathing with my friends at the EF Beach Club. We were able to relax in the sun, and I took the opportunity to read a book I found at the Montreal airport— La Surprise by Marianne Roy Venne. I highly recommend it!
On Saturday, I did an activity with EF and my friends: I visited Popeye Village, where the movie was filmed. If you haven’t heard of it yet, I’d definitely recommend going at least once. When you arrive in the colorful little village, you can tell it’s a movie set, but it becomes much more fun with the performances by the village actors. It’s quite an expensive outing, so it’s better to go in a group rather than alone, as it’s a popular tourist spot. Despite the price, it was a great discovery — and let’s not forget the view over the village. Incredible!
Next week, I have plans for the Strawberry Festival in Mġarr, and probably a meal at the Cheeky Monkey Gastropub. See you!
