This week has been mostly quiet. We’ve had a lot of troubles with running water and electricity coming on and off intermittently which have limited our ability to do tasks around the inn. During my off day, I couldn’t go out in the city because there was too much traffic, and people travelling everywhere at the same time! Easter is no joke in Puerto Rico!
Bill & Renee offered me an Easter basket to celebrate Easter weekend. It was kind of them, and I have eaten a lot of chocolate in the past few days!

One of my tasks this week was to clean up the space, chairs, and tables for a dinner where Bill & Renee invited several friends and family members. I was able to interact with them and have interesting conversations which helped me to practice my English further. It was an elegant set-up with a lot of candles! It was delightful!

I have also written a lot of promotional blogs for their websites about my experience in the Rainforest Inn, activities to do in the area and restaurants nearby! It was amusing to practice my English and discover new aspects of the Puerto Rican culture through my research.
For next week, we planned a fantastic visit to one of the bio bays where I will kayak and discover the bioluminescent bays and the flora and fauna of the island. I can’t wait to experience it and see the beautiful bioluminescent microorganism coloring & illuminating the water.

Thank you for reading!
