Already 4 weeks… Time flies at light speed.
This week has been amazing. It was sunny for a good part of it, so I was finally able to do the hike! It was challenging but the waterfall at the end of it is absolutely worth all the efforts. The view of the nearby city and the ocean in the distance was breathtaking.
Even though it was drier than the first time I attempted it, it was still muddy and slippery. I fell a couple of times, but thankfully I didn’t injure myself.

I learned how to make pina coladas for the guests when they check-in. This is something I will do again when I get back to Canada. It’s enjoyable to interact with the guests. Sometimes when I tell them I am an intern from Quebec they start speaking French which is quite funny.

I also did the kayak tour to see the bioluminescent lights. It was the most challenging activity I’ve done in a while. Wow… paddling in tandem counter current is not easy with 20 other kayaks around you. We kept bumping into each other and bumping into mangrove trees. It was a blast, and thankfully we got to see the bioluminescence even though the weather was not favorable for the phenomenon to occur. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to take any pictures during the tour.
Next week, we will plan a zipline tour above the rainforest canopy that I cannot wait to try!

Thank you for reading!
