Entry 1 : My first day in the 80% humidity of the Rainforest – Céléna Larouche

When my eyes opened, I heared some noises. I first thought that it was some birds that we don’t have in Quebec, but in reality it was the coquís and it sounded like music to my ears. I have to admit that even if my excitation was so big and the wake up was beautiful, my body struggled to go out the bed that morning.

After I walked through some lizards and frogs that fascinated me so much, I reached the kitchen where I met Renée and some guests. I was so comfortable even at the beginning because Renée was so nice, she cooked me an excellent breakfast with an amazing guava butter and then, I already went to the beach on the edge of the Caribbean with the guests. The two girls I met were really nice and we had a lot of fun during the day.

The blue of the water was as in my dreams and the palmers was just magnificent. We browned (or blushed) our skin colour pint of milk and we had a lot of fun talking while eating a meal that I forced myself to finish. I can not say what was the spicy that they putted on my chicken rice but it was not the good local food that I expected to eat. On the other side, I can not say the same for the Pina Colada which was so refreshing and that I appreciated so much.

For the next week, I plan to walk in the old San Juan and even maybe to take a surf lesson and face the waves of the Caribbean Sea.
