After a 19-hour flight, I crossed the entire length of Canada to arrive at my destination, Australia. This country is a place where a chapter is ending but also where a fairy tale is also being written.
Memories started forming as soon as I set my foot in the airport…
My last flight, from Vancouver to Brisbane, had an almost two-hour delay and because of that, I missed my bus to Gympie. At that moment, I will not lie, I started to panic. I said to myself: “It cannot happen to me on my first trip!” But yeah, it happened! I called the agency, and they told me to take the train instead of the bus, so I went to the train station and headed off to my destination. Throughout this adventure, I saw both the sunset and sunrise when I was flying in the sky!

Aussies are incredibly friendly! The owners of this place, Marc and Kerrianne, are kind and generous toward us. I am with Nana, who comes from Japan and Nick from France. Even though they are almost vegan (which I am not at all) the food is always tasty.
On my first day, I saw wallabies on the land and many exotics animals that only Australians can see! I was able to pet a wallaby because it is an orphan that the owners took care of when it was a baby.

During the first week, Nana, Nick, and I went to the creek to fish! Unfortunately, we did not catch anything, but the fact that we had a choir for ourselves made that moment magical. The temperature is incredibly hot here, even though it is autumn; each day, it is between 25oC and 32oC.

Next week, I hope I will go to the beach and get a bit of sun, which is my main goal! And I would love to see a koala!
