Sometimes we can have different feelings during a trip. We can experience happiness, be grateful, and be motivated, but we can also touch an emotion nobody wants during a trip; sadness. Unfortunately, or thankfully, I am experiencing it. My roommates left to go back to their countries. Even if I knew them only for two weeks, seeing them leave pinched my heart. It hurts because I knew I would be completely by myself, and it is something I need to work on.
But…
Before they left, the wish I made on my first blog came true; we went to the beach! The water was incredibly hot and I got stung by a jellyfish! Luckly, as you can see, it was not deadly (yes, they are mostly venomous). It was my first time seeing the ocean. The waves seemed incredibly strong, but Marc told me they were small! I went to take pictures near the water, but even if I thought I was far enough I almost got carried away by the ocean because of the waves…
When it was time to head back home something caught my attention. There was something familiar with the accent of the little family next to me. It is simple, they were from Quebec! Even more surprising, they were from Lévis! I talked with them and learned that I knew the sister of the woman! I went with my mother to her place for a chef at home event once.
The world is small but also big enough to recognize that sometimes we are looking too far for things that are next to us.
Next week, I wish I can explore more the area and maybe see a koala!
