I’m thinking about getting a gym membership for the rest of my time here in New Zealand, because if I keep going like this, I will have to buy a new wardrobe back home. My sister might enjoy it, though. This week I had French cuisine, Vietnamese cuisine, Chinese cuisine, Japanese cuisine and Indian cuisine, and finally exquisite vegan cuisine. My favourites were the Vietnamese cuisine and the vegan cuisine! I had succulent rice and prawns with a crispy egg on top and a crispy on the outside, doughy on the inside cookie. Every week, I get groceries from IVHQ. What surprises me here is that everything is locally made! The bread, the cereals, the crisps, the fruits, and even the shampoo! It’s remarkable that New Zealand is self-sufficient.

We had two beach clean-ups in two different locations this week. We went to Point England Reserve and Mission Bay. With gloves, sunscreen, and a bright pink vest on, we walked on the beach, and we picked up about 2 sacks of litter. It was an amazing day!

As I said in my last blog, my plan was to visit Rangitoto Island. Unfortunately, when we got to the ferry, we couldn’t get on because we had to buy our tickets online 24 hours before departure, oops. We ended up going to Devonport and having the most relaxing day ever. We hiked up and down Mount Victoria, which took us 20 minutes. Then, we wandered around the main road and got delicious food. We ended our day on the beach, enjoying my first sunset in the country. What a gorgeous way to end the week! I’m looking forwards to next week because I will be going biking on Waiheke and having a weekend in Rotorua ?
