Each week is filled with different emotions, but this week made me realize how proud I am of myself and what I have accomplished. Despite all the emotions, I took the opportunity to take a few trips around the island.
One fine weeknight, I decided to eat at a restaurant I had been wanting to try for a while, so I went to the Cheeky Monkey Gastropub, not far from my house. Original! For this menu tasting, I tried the Bacon and Beer Burger and the Tostitos Beef Roll.

Later in the evening, I took the bus to Riviera/Golden Bay to watch the sunset and the incredible view. It was a peaceful moment. The wind gusting over the blue waves, and the orange sunset descending into the clouds was magical. As they say, “May every sunset bring you peace!”

On Saturday, I went with my friend Marie-Océane to visit the Malta National Aquarium. I love this aquarium because it has an immersive setting that makes you feel like you’re in the animals’ environment. We even did a submarine simulation. It was just incredible!

Many events are celebrated during the month of April on the island of Malta, such as the Malta Spring Festival, the Malta International Fireworks Festival, and the Strawberry Festival. On Sunday, I decided to go to the Strawberry Festival, because who doesn’t love strawberries? Especially when they’re fresh. The Strawberry Festival takes place in Mgarr, a town located in the west of Malta. Every year, they celebrate this red fruit, and many people attend. If you’ve ever been to the Saint-Tite Western Festival, then you’ll have an idea of what this festival is like, but instead of cowboy-themed events, there are strawberry pastries and drinks everywhere! I enjoyed discovering how the Maltese celebrate this juicy and sweet fruit.

Next week, I’m planning to either go to the Bird Park with my friends, swim at St. Peter’s Pool, or maybe try out a new activity I haven’t discovered yet.
